in Ikebana International provides you with a full array of benefits, including the Ikebana International magazine and International Newsletter, Sakura News, three times each year. In addition, as a member at the international level, you can attend other chapters of I.I. around the world. You may also register for and attend any Regional Conference and the World Convention. Each Regional Conference and the World Convention are held every 4 or 5 years.

Ikebana International does not teach a specific type of ikebana. We are an interest group of individuals of many nationalities who enjoy ikebana and other Japanese arts. Many have studied ikebana; some have not.

Membership is open to anyone interested in the art of ikebana and the ideals of Ikebana International,
regardless of their previous experience.
Regular Membership
Full Membership
As a regular member of Dallas Chapter 13, you have the opportunity to study, participate and exhibit in Ikebana programs, workshops, exhibits and activities and events of related arts.
Friend Membership
Another Option
Friend Membership, available for the first two years of membership only, entitles you to all Chapter 13 meetings, workshops, exhibits and other events.
Associate Membership
Join another Chapter
A member may belong to additional chapters at reduced rates upon proof of membership of their primary chapter.
Transfer Membership
Worldwide
A member is welcome to visit other chapter programs while on their travels.
The membership is also transferable from one chapter to another at any time of the year upon presentation of a valid membership card.
Chapter Meetings
Monthly
Members get together at monthly meetings to see ikebana demonstrations, hear lectures on related topics or participate in ikebana workshops.

Regional Conferences and World Conventions
Worldwide
Regional Conferences are held every 4 to 5 years in various regions throughout the world for the purpose of offering educational and cultural exchange opportunities to the members. The I.I. World Convention is held every five years in Japan.
