Dallas Ikebana Chapter 13

Dallas Ikebana Chapter 13

Dynamic, Different and on the Move

Dallas IkebanaDynamic, different and definitely on the move!  That’s what Dallas Chapter 13 is all about. Every month, September through May, we either demonstrate a school of ikebana, or we have a presentation on something that is related to Ikebana.  Our programs are described in our annual Program Brochure.

Dallas Chapter 13 generally meets the third Thursday of each month, September through May. Meetings start at 9:30 A.M. with some social time and an opportunity to see what’s new at Ikebana Marketplace. Meetings are held at various locations throughout the greater Dallas area. Some of our meetings feature a speaker demonstrating a school of ikebana or a related area of Japanese art or culture. Some programs also include a workshop, or mini-workshop. Please look at the Program Brochure go to the Events calendar to see what is going on in a particular meeting and where we will meet.

We change our meeting location every so often, giving members an opportunity to see an interesting venue, such as the Audubon Center, a member’s garden or a park facility.

Most of our members study in one of the schools of Ikebana; some do not. Some pursue other art forms and find that Ikebana enhances their work. Join us at an upcoming meeting and learn more about Ikebana and what Ikebana International is all about.

Dallas is a non-profit organization under §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  This means that a contribution to our Chapters is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by the IRS.
